Knowing the right way to handle and transport a probe extends its product life. The most important point is to protect the scan head and probe shaft from accidental impacts with other equipment or solid objects. Keep your equipment operating optimally by spending time reviewing our handling instructions.
Probe Storage
It’s critical to have a storage system that protects your probes from damage, temperature extremes, and contamination. Invest in options specifically designed for the size and type of probes you need to store. They should:
- Be protected from accidental collision with other equipment.
- Hang straight down, with adequate air circulation during the drying cycle.
- Have support for the control handle and system connector.
- Have the storage area positioned so that there is no chance for impact or abrasive contact between the probe and storage option when removing or installing the probe.
